Monument Valley Road Trip | Day After Wedding Session in Arizona

Ok, so if you know me, there’s one thing that makes my world go ‘round and that’s my little basset hound BFF Roland. And what’s better than one basset?? TWO, and a road trip from Zion to Monument Valley with them in tow!

This sweet couple threw an epic wedding day bash at Zion Ponderosa Ranch, but still wanted to capture their favorite activity ever- road tripping through the American Southwest with their two adventure dogs, Gus and Barkley. So the morning after their wedding, we packed up and headed out! The drive takes you through some BEAUTIFUL country, including Kanab, the Navajo reservation, Lake Powell... Seriously is so worth the drive if you ever get the chance, and there are plenty of things to stop and do along the way. This part of the world offers endless exploring.

Once we arrived at Monument Valley, we checked out several different spots, from the famous Forest Gump point, a cool little jewelry shop, and the view point that overlooks Monument Valley itself. We shot until wayy after the sun went down, which is my favorite time for photographs.
